TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – President Joko Widodo or Jokowi bestowed honorary medals to First Lady Iriana Jokowi and 17 other figures at Jakarta State Palace today, August 14, 2023.
“The awarding of the Medal of Adipradana Star of the Republic of Indonesia (Bintang Republik Indonesia Adipradana) to Hj. Iriana, wife of Indonesian President Joko Widodo,” as read in Presidential Decree No. 66/TK/Tahun 2023 at the State Palace on Monday.
The President also awarded the Mahaputera Adipradana Star (Bintang Mahaputera Adipradana) to Vice President Ma’ruf Amin’s wife, Wury Estu Handayani. The award is based on Presidential Decree No. 67/TK/Tahun 2023.
Besides Wury, two other individuals received the Mahaputera Adipradana Star; a member of the Indonesian Judicial Commission Sukma Violetta and Deputy Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Saldi Isra.
In the same Presidential Decree, the Mahaputera Utama Star (Bintang Mahaputera Utama) was awarded to Joko Sasmito, a member of the Indonesian Judicial Commission; the Mahaputera Pratama Star (Bintang Mahaputera Pratama) to Boy Rafli Amar, the head of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT); and the Mahaputera Nararya Star (Bintang Mahaputera Nararya) to Wishnutama Kusubandio.
Jokowi also issued Presidential Decree No. 68/TK/Tahun 2023 awarding the Star of Service (Bintang Jasa) Medal to a member of the Indonesian Judicial Commission Sumartoyo, Senior Advisor to the Environment Minister Makarim Wibisono, Presidential Staffer Anak Agung Gde Ngurah Ari Dwipayana, Special Staffer to the President Sukardi Rinakit, and Governor of Sulawesi North Olly Dondokambey.
In the same Presidential Decree, Jokowi also awarded the Pratama Star of Service (Bintang Jasa Pratama) to Ambassador Permanent Representative R. Soehardjono Sastromihardjo, Professor of Environmental Management at Diponegoro University Sudharto Prawoto Hadi, Expert Researcher at the Center for Climate and Atmospheric Research of BRIN Edvin Aldrian. The Nararya Star of Service (Bintang Jasa Nararya) was also presented to the museum expert, the late Ki Mohamad Amir Sutaarga.
In the Presidential Decree No. 69/TK/Tahun 2023, President Jokowi awarded the Cultural Merit Star Medal (Bintang Budaya Parama Dharma) to the late Tjokorda Gde Agung Sukawati and the late Kanjeng Gusti Prince Haryo Djojokusumo.
